I can't believe how fast time flies! While Preston was at training for four months, time stood still, but now that we are married and having fun and staying busy the days go by so fast. We have almost been married for seven weeks now! We were able to celebrate our one month anniversary at one of our favorites, Red Lobster, even though we weren't sure it would work out. Preston came home from school to tell me that Kory called and needed his help farming in Terreton, so he changed his clothes, put his boots on and headed out the door. About 30 minutes later I get a phone call and he said he was just driving through Blackfoot and wanted to look at a truck before he headed back home. Now Preston is huge into telling me things very seriously and then seeing if I believe him or not, so I just went along laughing, saying yeah right of course your going to come back home. Well he was telling the truth, the tractor broke down, and Kory told him not to come. YAY! So we got a little dressed up and headed to town. Red Lobster was delicious but it was also FREEZING so after dinner, we decided to get dessert at walmart and a movie to bring back home. It was our first "date" after being married and was well needed after a long week of working at the fair.

The First Of Many Firsts
One thing I have loved so much about being married and starting our life together is all the new things we get to do and try. We always have so much fun together and make everything into an adventure. Even after dating for years we're still learning so much about each other and how we like to do things. We are starting to mesh our lives together and we couldn't be happier.

Honeymoon
We had such a fun honeymoon! I love how fun and goofy we are together. We left our wedding pretty late and drove to Pocatello for the night. On Sunday after our yummy hotel waffles (my FAVORITE), we headed to Utah. I finally caught up on my sleep that I hadn't been getting for a while, so Preston had to entertain himself most of the drive! That was pretty easy though because everyone kept honking and waving at us because of everything written on our windows. We went to Park City, and did a little shopping, and then checked in to the most amazing hotel room! It was huge, it was more like an apartment than a hotel room. We went to a nice dinner at Red Rock Brewery, and drove around looking at all the cool buildings. Monday was so much fun, we went on the Alpine Slide and the Alpine coastser, and then went to the olympic training site. There was so many fun and interesting things to see! We drove to Salt Lake that night, and ate at the Mayan. It had been a long time since either of us had been there so seeing the diving show was really cool. On Tuesday we went to Seven Peaks, which we found out was the old Raging Rapids. We were a little dissapointed. We still had a lot of fun, but it was nothing like Seven Peaks in Provo that I remember. We checked into yet another hotel, and then went to the Old Spaghetti Factory. I think a few people thought we were crazy because walking through the mall we were laughing and laughing. Wednesday we spent some time with Grandma & Grandpa deJong until we had to leave for Ashley's wedding reception. They had the reception at such a beautiful venue! And of course we can't ever go to Utah without looking at a truck so on the way home we had to stop and meet a guy with a truck that was so so nasty! Preston just isn't having much luck on finding a truck, and he really really wants one. We got to our new house really late but then we realized we didn't have any pillows so we made a midnight walmart trip! It was such a great week of just relaxing and being with my love.
Our first stop at Wendys. I introduced Preston to their salads and I think we ate there three times in 4 days |
Our amazing hotel room |
We got a bunch of free tickets because I got stuck behind an old lady |
The coaster was so fun! Preston made it go so fast! We lost our waterbottle and Preston got chewed out by the lady at the end of it. |
Dippin Dots and Sno Cones |
Preston wanted these shirts so we could tell people we came back from our honeymoon black and blue. |
$5 sunglasses... best purchase we've ever made |

Our New Blog
So I always said I wouldn't start a blog after we got married, because it seems like everyone does, however I changed my mind pretty quickly. We have had so much going on in our lives, I wanted to have something to help us remember all that we have done and gone through. I'm horrible at keeping a journal, but I love having pictures to help spark memories, so I figure a blog is the best way to use what I love and work on my flaws. Preston forgets everything, and I don't want to have his sticky note reminders of stories all over our house, so we'll write down our stories here instead. I have a lot of catch up to do so bear with me as I get this updated!
