Winter Camping

Winter time can be boring! It's too cold to go for a walk or a bike ride, there hasn't been enough snow this winter to do a lot of good snowmobiling, we can't go spend money like we used to, in the Littlewood house most cold winter nights are spent snuggling on the couch watching TV or a movie. Which don't get me wrong I love but it's always nice to throw a curve ball into the mix sooooo..... Saturday night we went "camping" Preston spent most of the day Saturday freezing in the garage getting motorcycles ready for Moab and I spent most of the day glazing our bed room furniture (post coming soon), so I decided we needed a fun date night. I cooked tinfoil dinners in the oven, made some yummy s'mores cookie bars, you can find the recipe HERE and made a tent in our front room!

Bandit had so much fun while I was constructing our tent, he was sure I was making a house just for him, he was runnng and jumping into the blankets and pillows and he took all of his toys into it.
Well of course to make this even more fun I wouldn't let Preston look in the front room so of course he knew something was going on. As we were eating dinner I asked him to guess the "theme" of the night, I had to give a few hints but he figured it out. So after our tummies were full from dinner Preston being the good sport that he is let me blind fold him, and lead him into our tent (and I only made him run into the wall once, on accident of course)!

It was so much fun seeing his face once he saw the tent, it was just so fun doing something completely out of the ordinary.

We put a movie on and snuggled under our tent/drive in/star gazing contraption :)

I had a very rough time getting a good picture of the two of us so these had to do. While watching our movie some of the Christmas lights started to fall down, but my sweet hubby let me play with my camer for a little bit before we put them away
It was a very good night and something we can say we had never done before, I love being married and getting to do things like this with Preston, and having so much fun together! Oh and a bonus for Preston....
he got to play PlayStation with his puppy in his "bunker" the next morning!

Reminicing

I recieved an email the other day for 30 free 4x6 prints from Snapfish when I went to order them today they were having a deal for up to 99 prints for ONE penny, well I couldn't turn that down! So I ended up ordering 227 wedding engagement and bridal pictures all for $22! I normally like to order prints from WHCC or Black River Imaging because of the professional quality, but I just want these for a few picture frames and to put in a book, until I get around to ordering a professional album. But anywho, as I was looking through the pictures deciding what ones to get I realized there were so many pictures that I just LOVE. I mostly remember the ones we used for announcements and decorations at the wedding, and the ones I used for my moms photo book christmas present, but there were SO many other ones I hadn't used or looked at much. Then I realized I hardly shared any photos on my blog so heres a few new found favorites...

Sweet Suprise

Whoever said Friday the 13th was a bad day doesn't know what they are talking about. I love all Friday's, it's the begining of the weekend, I only work until 2 o'clock, and I get to spend the rest of the day with my hubby. Last Friday, I came home to a lovely suprise. The first thing I noticed as I was walking towards the house was a yellow sticky note so I knew Preston was up to something. Preston does everything with sticky notes, he even buys them in bulk. So the first note I see says... beware enter at your own risk. So I slowly open the door to see Preston and a huge sticky note sign...

it's hard to read in the picture but it says Happy 5 Month Anniversary! As I walked in a little bit more there was a beautiful boquet of flowers!
It all made my heart melt. I have the most caring sweet husband ever. I had to joke with him though and ask how he was going to keep topping himself in the months and years to come!
