A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

I have a lot to catch up on and the easiest fastest way to do that?... Picture overload!
Preston has used my bike a few times when he is in charge of running P.T. in the mornings. (Bandit did not like the basket! He jumped out a couple of times so we stopped trying)

One of the first warm nights we had Preston wanted to BBQ. This boy would either starve without me, or weigh 300 pounds from eating fast food all the time.

Preston's family and my mom came to our house to celebrate Preston's 23rd Birthday with dinner and cake.
Bandit has learned a lot of naughty things from Bella and Chewy

We went to the Hunger Games movie, I liked the book better of course but it was still really good!

We went to Moab for spring break with the Littlewoods

The weather is getting nice, and there is lots of sun that comes through our kitchen window, so Preston always keeps his sunglasses near by!

We celebrated Easter with Church in Shelley, an Easter egg hunt my mom did for the "kids", dinner with my family and grandparents, and dessert with the Littlewoods.

and on a side note it has been almost two years since I cut my hair this short,

and now it is this long. I can't decide....

If I should let it grow out (or possibly get extensions) or...

If I should cut it short again and do some blonde highlights? What do you think?
(and I would wait until at least the end of July to cut it if I do)
two years is a LOOONG time for a hair dresser not to do anything to her hair! (besides a few highlights here and there)

Happy St. Patty's Day

I love decorating for holidays. I love changing things around and this is such an easy way to do! And pretty cheap because I make a lot of them myself!

I have made lots of blocks like these before. I don't have a cricut, and don't want to spend the money on one. So I just print off letters from my computer cut them out and use some spray adhesive.

I love subway art, it's such an easy way to decorate, especially for holiday's that are harder to decorate for. I found this free printable from here

Thanks to Pinterest I found this idea for a fun easy and cheap wreath! All it took was some foam tubing from Home Depot, two colors of tissue paper from the dollar store, some hot glue, and shiny clear spray paint. I found the shamrock in the middle at shopko for 60% off!

The Birthday Boy

Preston was not very excited about his birthday this year, he thinks 23 is old. He kept saying he remembered when Mitch (his older brother) turned 23 and thinking how old that made him. So I wanted to make sure this birthday was a great one. We lucked out and his birthday fell on a Wednesday that I didn't have to work at the bank or the salon, and it's Preston's easy day at school. So I decided to celebrate all day. When he got home from PT, I had crepes and fruit ready for breakfast, and his surprise present wrapped and waiting. I got the idea for his present awhile ago, and had the hardest time not telling him! He always knows what gifts he is getting so I really wanted it to be a suprised but really wanted to make sure it was what he wanted, so I was very sneaky and tricked him. Our TV is possessed, it changes inputs on its own, sometimes theres only sound and no picture, and its very old school, so I bought Preston a new flat screen TV. I knew it was something he wanted (and I wanted a entertainment stand that matched my other furniture) so I told him we should get one once we got our tax return back. He of course thought this was a great idea and started telling me what he wanted. We finally found the ONE a few weeks before his birthday so I just stopped talking about it since we weren't getting our taxes done until right before his birthday. The night before his birthday (yes I am a procrastinator) Shae & I went to Sears to pickup the TV. Well the TV (a 50" plasma) was last years model and they didn't have any in stock, and neither did the Idaho Falls store and no they wouldn't be getting in anymore. So after i freaked out for a little bit I decided to stick with the same price I was planning on spending him and got a 40" LCD, and asked about there return policy. If Preston wants to upgrade or get something else he can't but at least he would have something to open on his birthday. I found an entertainment stand at Shopko for $75 that was normally $225, so his presents were ready to go.

he said once he saw the boxes he had an idea it was a TV but never would have thought that's what he was getting, it was a combined present from me, my parents, and his parents.

he couldn't belive it

Sadly he didn't get to play with his present because he had to go to his morning class. We went out for lunch at the Works (like subway), and he decided he wanted fried chicken for dinner, so while he was doing homework I gave it a shot! It actually turned out really good, he said it was as good as my mom's and her's is very yummy so I was happy. He also said he wanted a cupcake so thanks to pinterest I found a reciepe for Cupcakes For Two It was perfect and so easy! I had leftover homemade whipped cream from the crepes so I just used that as frosting!

We both decided they were good but not our favorites, but a lot better than the two of us eating a whole batch of really good cupcakes!

Don't judge me in these pictures one was early in the morning and the other one late at night! I put together the TV stand while Preston was doing homework and we finally had time to put the TV up on Friday! Preston said it was a great birthday and thats all that matters to me!

Hopes of Spring

Idaho weather is crazy, everyone knows that, one day its 10 below, the next there's 40 mph winds and the next its 50 degrees and sunny. Lately we've been lucky and have had a few of those 50 degree days, so hopefully that's signs of things to come, even though it doesn't seem like it's winter yet because of no snow! But I'm ll for the warm weather so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Sunday was one of the first beautiful days and it was so nice to be able to do something outside and not be cooped up all day. After church Preston and I both were trying to find anything to do that would keep us outside. I finished up a few St. Patricks decorations, and Preston worked on getting my bike ready for Moab. Bandit loved being outside most of the day, when he was tired of running around he would just find the sunniest spot he could and lounge.

GOOD DEED

My sweet friend from beauty school Megan Lloyd lost her husband Josh on Monday after a battle with Lymphoma. Megan and Josh had a relationship filled with love. This sweet girl has been left with medical bills from his treatment and several month stay at the Huntsman Institute in Salt Lake City. PLEASE, if you feel like doing your good deed for the day, donate whatever you want/can to an account set up for his wife and family. Anything will help!

A benefit account for Megan and the Lloyd family has been set up at D.L. Evans bank. If you would like to donate to this account you can either stop in at any D.L. Evans Bank and make a deposit or send a check to D.L. Evans and make it payable to the benefit account for Josh Lloyd. To find a D.L. Evans near you please visit http://www.dlevans.com/ .

Please find it in your heart to make some type of donation. With the many medical bills that accrued over the last six months every little bit will help.

Pebble Creek

We love getting a good deal! It's been fun finding all the things we can do around Pocatello, and last Friday we found a new one... snowboarding!

I have only been snowboarding twice and it was in 6th grade, but lately Preston has had an itch to go, so he did a little research and we went to Pebble Creek's night skiing for a whopping $19. Every week there is a local buisness that has night passes for $7 a person, Preston already has two snowboards and a pair of boots, so we rented a pair of boots for $5, drove 20 miles and had hours of fun! I was not really looking forward to it, but Preston is a great teacher and now I can't wait to go again! And for only $19 we can go every weekend we want to!

getting pumped to go

enjoying our banana smoothies afterwards

SIX MONTHS

Yesterday was our six month anniversary. It's crazy that we have already been married for six months! It's flown by but has been the best six months ever. We celebrated last night at one of our favorites, Red Lobster. Every day I seem to learn something new about Pres, and every day I love him more and more.
I have not been able to get very good pictures of us lately, so my new goal is to take the time to get better pictures, so years from now we can look back and enjoy our memories.

Winter Camping

Winter time can be boring! It's too cold to go for a walk or a bike ride, there hasn't been enough snow this winter to do a lot of good snowmobiling, we can't go spend money like we used to, in the Littlewood house most cold winter nights are spent snuggling on the couch watching TV or a movie. Which don't get me wrong I love but it's always nice to throw a curve ball into the mix sooooo..... Saturday night we went "camping" Preston spent most of the day Saturday freezing in the garage getting motorcycles ready for Moab and I spent most of the day glazing our bed room furniture (post coming soon), so I decided we needed a fun date night. I cooked tinfoil dinners in the oven, made some yummy s'mores cookie bars, you can find the recipe HERE and made a tent in our front room!

Bandit had so much fun while I was constructing our tent, he was sure I was making a house just for him, he was runnng and jumping into the blankets and pillows and he took all of his toys into it.
Well of course to make this even more fun I wouldn't let Preston look in the front room so of course he knew something was going on. As we were eating dinner I asked him to guess the "theme" of the night, I had to give a few hints but he figured it out. So after our tummies were full from dinner Preston being the good sport that he is let me blind fold him, and lead him into our tent (and I only made him run into the wall once, on accident of course)!

It was so much fun seeing his face once he saw the tent, it was just so fun doing something completely out of the ordinary.

We put a movie on and snuggled under our tent/drive in/star gazing contraption :)

I had a very rough time getting a good picture of the two of us so these had to do. While watching our movie some of the Christmas lights started to fall down, but my sweet hubby let me play with my camer for a little bit before we put them away
It was a very good night and something we can say we had never done before, I love being married and getting to do things like this with Preston, and having so much fun together! Oh and a bonus for Preston....
he got to play PlayStation with his puppy in his "bunker" the next morning!
